Crystalis is a post-apocalyptic, action RPG made in 1990 by SNK. The story takes place a hundred years after the nuclear war.

SNK released the original game in North America on the Nintendo Entertainment System in July 1990.
In 2000, Crystalis was re-released for the Game Boy Color by Nintendo. In addition to an all-new soundtrack, Nintendo made some small tweaks to the translation, made some significant changes to the story, and made a few gameplay changes.
In 2018, the NES version of Crystalis was included in "SNK 40th Anniversary Collection" for Nintendo Switch. This collection was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Steam in 2019. In December 2019, Nintendo added the Nintendo Entertainment System version of the game to Nintendo Entertainment System - Nintendo Switch Online.
